Resources to download

Here are some example word maps, links to audio recordings and related transcripts for you to download.

There are many other examples to be found either at our ‘In Your Words’ map or at the Leeds Archive of Vernacular Culture section of the Special Collections website at University of Leeds.

Are you new to dialect or new to archives? If you are tempted to explore further into this remarkable world of dialect we suggest you start with our ‘In Your Words‘ map, explore your local area and use the links to find source material within the archive. If you get stuck and you can’t find the answer in our website or even in our Questions and Answers page please feel free to email us at dialectandheritage@leeds.ac.uk and ask a question. We are a friendly bunch and we will reply as soon as we can!
